Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is a famous Irish model and actress. Her debut in a feature film was in a minor role on her debut role in the Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). Later she played the Nazi-sympathising archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 1989). Siobhan donnevan starred featured in A Prayer for the Dying in 1987, Charlotte appeared in Taffin (in 1998) and Rebecca Flannery played Major League II. Doody was a model when her being approached by an aspiring photographer. Her career has since developed into commercial modeling. Doody strove to avoid the glamour of nude roles which was a principle she followed in her acting. After being noticed by the directors who were casting the James Bond new film, Doody was cast in a minor portion of Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody was named one of the top twelve promising young actors in 1986 by John Willis Screen World. 38. Doody, who was only 18 at the time she played the part of Doody in A prayer for the dying (1987) which starred Mickey Rourke, is the tiniest Bond girl who has a name to her. A Prayer for the Dying (1997) with Mickey Rourke, also featured a smaller role as IRA Siobhan. Doody was a silent actor in a 1987 adaptation from The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream wife Lilias. In the Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, Doody played Sapsorrow alongside John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The actress acted alongside Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) prior to taking perhaps her most well-known role to date in the role of Austrian Nazi-sympathiser and archaeologist The Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in which she starred alongside Harrison Ford. The film also starred Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody is a co-star with three actors in the role of James Bond. Doody played alongside Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries which was a British mini-series based on Hitler Diaries. She later moved to Hollywood. She was replaced by Cybill Shepherd in the L'Oreal spokesperson's part. Doody then appeared as Flannery Sheen's lover and agent opposite Charlie Sheen, as Major League II came out in 1994. After nearly a decade from the screen Doody came back to acting, and acted in a tiny role in 2003 British comedy film The Actors with Michael Caine acting as herself in an award ceremony scene. The roles she played include the TV movie version of King Solomon's Mines in 2004 and a book about the Holocaust and an animated short called Benjamin's Struggle in 2005. Doody played a small role in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture (2010). Later, she guest-starred in RTE's Medical thriller The Clinic. She was supposed to be the star of the remake of the classic horror film The Asphyx. However, this project fell through. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons.
